And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3 (KJV)
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. John 20:17 (KJV)
Good day, these pages are for those who are interested in the truth, its search, and also for those who have come to Christianity and found something unsettling about the sermons in churches that label themselves as Christian.
After some time spent in the congregations of various churches I noticed certain things that contradicted how I perceived Christianity. Finding the truth, loving God with all my heart, and loving my neighbour as myself. I perhaps didn’t pay much attention to this, probably due to my own business. I took it as part of the freedom of approach and the various personalities of the members and visitors of the churches, their ignorance and development on the path to truth, etc., thus viewing it as something natural, nothing serious. When I had a lot of time after moving and while looking for a suitable congregation in the new place, I thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea to clarify what actually bothered me in the churches and to find out where the fault lay, whether it was with me, them, or a combination of both. What somewhat surprised me was that I perceived people often treated the church more as a social club, an addition to their secular life and family, rather than as their new spiritual family, brothers and sisters (the importance of the body and spirit for eternity is perhaps something I need not explain to anyone), and faith rather as a sort of personal psychological aid in coping with death than as a means of finding the truth.
THE TRINITY DOCTRINE:
Perhaps the most serious problem I discovered, or rather became aware of, was the widely touted doctrine of the Trinity, to which I had previously also paid little attention, as at that time I probably regarded it merely as a theological construct attempting to summarise the idea of Christianity using a virtual construct (a person needs both the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit for salvation, all three are believed to exist, and thus God is in that sense necessary for human salvation as three in one, although in reality God is only the Father). I have never regarded it as dogma, truth, and fact, because from a logical standpoint it is nonsense and contradicts the preaching of Christ. However, I was very surprised by how seriously this doctrine of the Trinity is taken in churches, and that it is even used as a standard for the acceptance or rejection of church members, or outright condemnation of people, proclaiming that they will not be saved and will end up in hell. There I saw that the problem is somewhat more serious. The doctrine of the Trinity proclaims that although God is one, He is triune, has three persons where each is fully God, and that these three persons are equal, which contradicts the Bible.
Anyone who remembers at least a little of what they read mainly in the New, but also in the Old Testament, must automatically be aware that this is against the preaching of Christ, who clearly identifies himself as a man, the Son of God, and the Father as the spirit and the only true God, who is one. Moreover, he clearly states that he himself is essentially nothing without the Father, that he only fulfils the will of the Father, and that the Father is greater than he. The doctrine of the Trinity is refuted. Leaving aside the basic logic that a son cannot be his own father (the Son of God cannot be God at the same time when God is just one). A Christian is a person who follows Christ, his teachings. Is a Christian someone who does not do that?
Someone might say... well, the church has invented some doctrine, there are plenty of theological opinions and differences between the churches, so why bother with it at all? The problem is that from the teaching of the doctrine of the Trinity, apart from the non-following of Christ's teachings, a host of other anti-Christian conclusions and approaches arise:
1. Proclaiming the victory of sin over Christ in people's lives:
⦁ Because Christ is, according to the doctrine, God, he was able not to sin, but ordinary people cannot do that and must sin even when they accept Christ as their Lord (although I generally believe that sincere people who want to fulfill the will of Christ, despite being followers of the Trinity doctrine, often live without sin, they just do not want to admit it). This conflicts with the designation of Christ as Lord, because when you sin, Christ is not your Lord, as well as with His teachings "go, and sin no more" and "be perfect, as your Father is perfect". It encourages people to be lax towards sin... when, after all, by the very nature of the Trinity doctrine and the divinity of Jesus, a person cannot really live without sin, so why bother too much with whether they sin or not.
2. By proclaiming the lie that Christ is God, followers of the Trinity reinforce other false religions and ideologies that truthfully refute this, and in doing so essentially become allies of these non-Christian ideologies:
⦁ In my opinion, Islam benefits from this, as it rightly points out the absurdity of this doctrine, although it itself has many contradictions, which the person it seeks may not encounter, such as criticising the doctrine of the Trinity while incorrectly stating that the Trinity is the Father, Mary, and Jesus.
3. Ridiculing Christianity, God and His creation:
⦁ By proclaiming that the Son of God is God, proponents of the Trinity deny basic logic, thus ridiculing Christianity as a nonsensical construct, preventing reasonable people from considering it as a path to come to God, and they also ridicule God's creation - man, who was to be created by God in His image, meaning a being capable of rational thought, using logic, and in doing so, they also ridicule God Himself for having created fools, declaring that His creation is foolish.
4. Giving a new condition for salvation:
⦁ Followers of the doctrine of the Trinity proclaim that anyone who does not believe in the trinity of God and other dogmas of the Trinity doctrine such as the equality of its persons, etc., cannot be saved, which is contrary to the teaching of Christ and the Bible.
